At the Nugget Theatre in Telluride TONIGHT,  “3 DAYS TO KILL” (PG-13) is showing at 7:30.

Telluride Film Festival has announced its Call for Entries in all categories including student, short and feature length films. Film Entry Form and submission deadline information is available at www.telluridefilmfestival.org.  Professional and amateur filmmakers working in all aesthetic disciplines and genres including narrative, documentary, animation and experimental are welcome.

Wilkinson Public Library is open regular hours during this off season.  Come on by for a book or DVD, or to use our new, fast computers, or to just hang in the beautiful, comfortable space!  Bring a coffee if you promise to be careful.  WPL also has a Guinea pig in residence until the end of the week.  And even with all that happening, Wilkinson Public Library’s new down valley book return drop box is now in service on the M&M Mercantile porch in Placerville! There will be a small party to officially open the drop box on Tuesday, April 22nd from 4:30 to 6:30 in the parking lot of the M&M Mercantile.  Everyone is invited to come by for cupcakes and beverages and music.

INITIATIVES

 

The employment unit engaged in the following broad outreach initiatives in accordance with various elements of FCC Rule 73.2080(c)(2): Established an internship program designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment.  Established training programs designed to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions..  Sponsored at least 2 events in the community designed to inform and educate the public as to employment opportunities in broadcasting. Provided training to personnel of unaffiliated non-profit organizations interested in broadcast employment opportunities that would enable them to better refer job candidates for broadcast positions.
