The Ride Festival!

 

 

 

The Ride Festival brings stellar rock and roll music to one of the most stunning venues in the world! The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 11, with an outdoor sunset concert in the scenic Mountain Village. On Saturday and Sunday, July 12 and 13, the main stage lineup will perform on the world renowned Fred Shellman Stage in Telluride Town Park.  To view this year’s festival line-up, click here. There will be a gathering of friends and family members to celebrate the life of long-time local Nettie Prack TODAY at 4pm at Town Park.  Donations and gifts will be collected by ANB Bank to be distributed to the Navajo communities in which she worked.

TONIGHT at the Nugget Theatre, “THE OTHER WOMAN” (PG-13)  is playing at 5:30pm and “LOCKE” (R)  is playing at 8pm.

TONIGHT at the Fly Me To The Moon Saloon, “Wild Ones” are playing at 10pm.  This is a type of music that doesn’t come around Telluride too often. Don’t miss it!

There is a San Juan Four Corners Native Plant Society field trip happening this Saturday, June 14th, focusing on Montaine Spring Flowers.  Leader Bob Powell will guide this very slow-paced trip for wildflower enthusiasts.  Be sure to bring lunch, 2 liters of water, layers of clothing and rain gear.  Contact Bob at 970385-8949 for information and reservations. 

TOMORROW, and every Friday from 9:30AM to 12PM, there is a FREE San Miguel Nature Rangers Program for 6 to 8 year olds, sponsored by the Watershed Education Program and the Telluride Open Space Commission.  For full information and to sign up contact Laura Kudo at laura@tellurideinstitute.org.

The employment unit engaged in the following broad outreach initiatives in accordance with various elements of FCC Rule 73.2080(c)(2): Established an internship program designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment.  Established training programs designed to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions..  Sponsored at least 2 events in the community designed to inform and educate the public as to employment opportunities in broadcasting. Provided training to personnel of unaffiliated non-profit organizations interested in broadcast employment opportunities that would enable them to better refer job candidates for broadcast positions.
