Always wanted to try curling? Come help the Telluride Curling Club celebrate 10 years of curling in Telluride at the Madeline Ice Rink in Mountain Village this Saturday, March 8th, from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. All are welcome to come and try their hand at throwing stones and sweeping. Club members will be present to help teach and offer tips. There will be raffles and swag giveaways! Tuesday, March 11th, Original Thinkers, Telluride Science and the Telluride Medical Center Foundation will present the third movie in the Film for Thought Series. Of Medicine and Miracles follows oncologist Dr. Carl June as he works to find a cure for cancer in time to save five-year old Emily Whitehead. It’s a gripping, inspiring and deeply human film, directed by Oscar winner Ross Kaufman who will join in conversation after the screening via zoom. This event is free and open to the public. KOTO’s Citizen Advisory Board meets Tuesday, March 11th, at 6:15 p.m. at the Hotel Telluride. The public is invited to attend. The agenda will be posted at koto.org when available.
