The Sheridan Arts Foundation’s Young People’s Theater presents the elementary school production of Finding Nemo, live at the historic Sheridan Opera House. The final show is today, Sunday, May 5th, at 4 p.m.! Tickets are available now at sheridanoperahouse.com.

Tomorrow, Monday, May 6th, SMART (San Miguel Authority for Regional Transportation) hosts an open house meeting in Rico to discuss plans for service expansions and improvements. The meeting takes place at 6 p.m. in the Rico Town Hall at 2 North Commercial Street. Make your voice heard!

Award-winning, best-selling Colorado writer Peter Heller will be live, in-person at Wilkinson Public Library for a talk and signing about his new book, The Last Ranger, on Tuesday, May 7th at 5:30 p.m. Get a free copy of the book while supplies last when you sign up at telluridelibrary.org

Wednesday, May 8th, please join Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser and regional leaders for conversation around timely topics facing families and communities in San Miguel County including youth mental health, school safety, childcare, workforce, environmental and economic priorities, and more. Weiser will also provide updates from his office on topics of interest to participants. This community meeting takes place from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the Program Room at Wilkinson Public Library.

Calling volunteers for Mountainfilm 2024! Mountainfilm is seeking volunteers to commit to 8 hours of work in exchange for 4 film tickets. This year's festival is Thursday, May 23rd to Monday, May 27th. Please contact volunteer@mountainfilm.org to secure your spot.

Telluride Education Foundation is celebrating 30 years of supporting our schools by hosting a community Prom on Wednesday, May 8th, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Sheridan SHOW Bar! Whatever decade calls you, come out & dance! Plus, start bidding on an INSANE line-up of auction items, including heli-skiing, moto sessions, Opus Hut, Denver Air Connection, festival passes, tutoring, and TONS more. Wilkinson Public Library is bringing back Coffee, Croissants, and Cribbage next Thursday, May 9th, from 10-11:30am at the library. There will be friendly competition and free baked goods from Butcher and Baker. 

Celebrate the amazing Telluride School District Student Artists at the annual K-12 Art Show! The Opening is after school until 5PM tomorrow, Thursday, May 9th, in the Palm Lobby and up the main stairs. If you can't make the opening the art work will remain hanging for viewing during school hours thru Monday May 13th.

Join Patagonia Telluride on Thursday, May 9th at 4pm for a screening of adventure film Running Up For Air, a story about how running builds community that can jumpstart change far beyond the trails. There will be a repair workshop/happy hour from 4-5pm with the film screening at 5pm. Food will be prepared by The National Telluride featuring Patagonia Provisions!

It's May Health Month at the Telluride Medical Center and they are encouraging the community to schedule their annual prevention visits. For those who need financial assistance or don't have insurance, specially priced exams are available to adults and children. Pay what you can for a special selection of Ah Haa's classes during the month of May! May As You Can classes have been designed for students at all levels to participate at whatever financial level they are comfortable with.
