In Summer 2024, after months of KOTO’s analog phone system melting down – some of us can still hear the phone ringing – we installed a new digital phone system, wired into our broadcast console to facilitate taking calls live on the air.

The new system was enough of an upgrade to warrant a tutorial video for our DJs. In our own KOTO way, we shot a simple walkthrough video… supplemented with some outtakes of KOTO staff sharing their true feelings about the old system.

Directed, shot and edited by Cara Pallone.

The cast, in order of appearance, is Claybrook Penn, Ben Kerr, Cara Pallone, Gavin McGough, Eliza Dunn, and Luis Tavares.

A tip of our hat to Office Space for the inspiration and Geto Boys for the soundtrack.
