SUMMARY:Salon Night at Telluride Arts HQ
DESCRIPTION:Salon Nights are inspired by the legendary Parisian salons—those lively gatherings where artists\, thinkers\, and dreamers came together to meet up\, debate\, collaborate\, and inspire. We’re bringing that spirit into the present and rooting it here in Telluride. These are evenings for conversation and connection\, not lectures or formal programming. They are casual\, open\, and intentionally unstructured\, designed to create the atmosphere where ideas can collide\, new friendships form\, and creativity sparks. Imagine an evening where musicians talk with writers\, painters meet photographers\, filmmakers share stories with ceramicists—and the unexpected happens!

SUMMARY:MOUNTAIN TOWN MENTAL HEALTH: A Presentation and Open Discussion
DESCRIPTION:ANNOUNCEMENT: Western society in general and our Mountain Communities in\nparticular suffer from statistically high rates of psycho emotional illness. Depression and anxiety\ncan combine with addiction and isolation to eventually manifest as psycho emotional disease\nand ultimately suicide. \nIn small communities\, we perhaps feel it more acutely because we are close knit and intimate\,\nbut the numbers show that per capita suicide rates are factually higher in Telluride and similar\nmountain communities than the national average. Most of us in Telluride mourn someone we\nlost and worry about someone who’s at risk. Most of us can think of someone who passed away\nespecially during off-season\, whether it was overt suicide or alcohol and drugs\, in automobiles\,\nmountain mishaps or bizarre combinations of the above. \nStatistically\, these casualties occur more often during off-season. At Medicine Ranch\, we are\nover it! We are so done with what we call\, “OFF SEASON! ” With the pun unfortunately\nintended. \nJoin us Thursday\, May 21 at the Medicine Ranch shop and clinic for a powerful presentation on\nmental health in the mountains. You can hold Josh to 30 minutes on the keynote lecture\nbecause that presentation is intended to prime the pump for a lively and perhaps life-saving\ndiscussion to follow. This will all be backed up by Information on how you can plug into various\nways for us all to take action and truly take care of each other.” \nSpace is limited so please RSVP to office@Medicineranch.com\, 970-728–6084\, or by Facebook\nhttps://www.facebook.com/me/ \nor Insta https://www.instagram.com/medicine_ranch/#
