New music is out there and it’s GOOD. Here’s three tunes that hit my inbox this week.

I encourage us all to buy albums and merch direct from these artists or their labels. In lieu of that, I’ll embed links from the big S.

Pearl & the Oysters – “Mandarin Moon”

The second single from Pearl & the Oysters’ upcoming album, Monkey Mind (Stones Throw), this wavy pop tune evokes lazy rivers and mango popsicles. Maybe that microdose wasn’t really a micro?

Kevin Morby – “100,000”

Don’t worry about the government. Don’t worry about consumerism and culture and chaos. Just listen to Kevin Morby’s song build from quiet strums to blast-off hums. From his latest album, Little Wide Open (Dead Oceans).

Okonski ft. Rachel Kitchlew – “Axes”

Get hip to Okonski. We all know Colemine Records does not miss, and this single from jazz trio Okonski lands. Piano, harp, drums, bass.
