A poet laureate uplifts the written and poetic word. Across the United States, bards are selected to write and share poetry and creative work in an effort to unite and develop deeper understanding of what it means to be human.
For over two years, former KOTO newsie Matt Hoisch has been talking with poets laureate from each state, to learn more about the country through the words and sensibilities of the nations poetic professionals.
