Join the San Miguel Basin 4-H Club for a full day of hands-on leathercrafting at the San Miguel Basin 4-H Leathercraft Workshop, open to all area youth (ages 8–18) and adults interested in learning the art of working with leather.

Location: Norwood Library
Entry Fee: $20 per project (Proceeds help cover materials)
Youth Workshops
Led by Kay Orton and experienced volunteer instructors:
Beginner (No Experience Needed)
– Choose from a dog collar, coasters, or bookmark while learning basic stamping and carving skills.
Intermediate (Some Experience)
– Create a swivel knife case or coin purse and build on your technique.
Advanced (3+ Years Experience)
– Take on a more challenging project like a 3×5 spiral notebook cover or a money clip.
Adult Workshop
Taught by Suzi Meyers of Crossbow Leather:
– Participants will complete a handcrafted project using high-quality materials and traditional techniques. (Project details coming soon.)

This workshop is a great opportunity to develop new skills, connect with fellow leathercraft enthusiasts, and support local youth. All are welcome—4-H membership is not required.
