Join Wilkinson Public Library, Telluride R-1 School District, and Bright Futures for a FREE Play and Read Family Workshop tonight, Wednesday, October 16th, from 5-6:30pm at the library. Learn early literacy strategies for families with kids age 0-5. Dinner, child care and Spanish interpretation will be provided.

Telluride High School’s new Miner Dome Broadcasting Club is coming to the airwaves! Tomorrow, Thursday, October 17th, at 4 p.m. the club will live broadcast (in Spanish!) the Telluride-Ridgway Boys Varsity soccer game from Telluride High School. Tune in on your FM dial or at koto.org.

Friday, October 18th, step into the Wizarding World for an afternoon at the library! Head to WPL at 1 p.m. for a magical Harry Potter Halloween celebration where tweens and teens can sip on mystical brews, test their knowledge of spells, magical creatures, and beloved characters. Come dressed as your favorite Harry Potter character and enjoy a screening of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (PG-13).

Friday, October 18th, all are invited to celebrate Becky Small’s retirement from Baked in Telluride! Becky has been the heart & soul of BIT for 28 years. Gather at the bakery at 4 p.m. to celebrate her contributions, share memories, and send her off with love & gratitude!

Floradora Saloon will have a Live Music Happy Hour with Claybrook & Tom this Friday, October 18th, from 5-7 p.m.

The Town of Mountain Village is pleased to announce the next installation of its new monthly movie night series, Dinner & A Movie at the Telluride Conference Center. On Friday, October 18th, the film will be Ghostbusters, screening at 7 p.m. with doors at 6 p.m. Saturday, October 19th, will feature Hotel Transylvania screening at 6 p.m. with doors at 5 p.m. Those attending the Saturday show are invited to come in their best Halloween costumes and there will be a kids’ costume contest giveaway. Halloween short films will be screening 5-6 p.m. both nights as well.

The Sawpit Mercantile is hosting their first-ever Spooky and Spontaneous Pumpkin Fest this Saturday, October 19th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.! Bring the whole family – The Merc will provide the pumpkins - for a pumpkin carving & painting contest, costume contest, and live music!

The San Miguel Educational Fund holds a regular meeting on Monday, October 21st, at 5:15 p.m. in the Telluride Room at Wilkinson Public Library. The public is invited to attend, and the meeting agenda will be posted at koto.org.

Tri-County Health Network is the place to go to enroll in the OmniSalud program, providing the opportunity for Colorado's immigrant community to purchase affordable health insurance, regardless of their immigration status through Colorado Connect. All information shared is held confidential and not shared with any federal agency. If you are currently enrolled in OmniSalud the re-enrollment period is Nov 1st-22nd. To apply for new coverage please contact Tri-County Health Network as soon as possible. There are a limited number of enrollments available and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
