The San Miguel Educational Fund – that’s KOTO’s governing board – is holding annual elections for two regular board seats as well as bylaws revisions. Ballots have been mailed to SMEF members, and are due by Thursday, December 5th. Return them by mail or drop them off at KOTO Studios (207 N. Pine St, Telluride).

Join Telluride AIDS Benefit at The Alibi tonight, Sunday, December 1st, at 7 p.m. for the World AIDS Day Dance Party with pizza, swag, and fun—free entry if you sign up for Model Auditions! Then, don’t miss TAB Noel Night on Wednesday, December 4th, to grab in-person-only tickets and refreshments by Telluride Reserve. Wednesday, December 4th, Mountainfilm holds a local’s ticket sale during Noel Night! Buy-One-Get-One deals on Palmyra and Wasatch Passes, and FREE Wasatch Passes for locals 80 and over. Refreshments and libations for customers and community members.

Attention Festivarians! Planet Bluegrass holds a Local Ticket Sale on Thursday, December 5th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at KOTO Studios (207 N. Pine, Telluride). Residents and workers of San Miguel County can purchase 4 Day and Single Day tickets for the 2025 Telluride Bluegrass Festival before they go on sale to the general public. Out of town? Fear not! Sheridan Arts Foundation presents a 3-night run of The Wizard of Oz, performed by the Middle School Young People’s Theater, from Friday, December 6th, through Sunday, December 8th at the historic Sheridan Opera House. Showtimes are 6:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a special 4:00 p.m. showing on Sunday, December 8th. Tickets are available at sheridanoperahouse.com.

Join the Telluride Nordic Association for a member meeting and season kickoff party on Saturday, December 7th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Telluride Elks Lodge. Join the Peter Inglis Avalanche Education Fund and the Telluride Mountain Club for the first Backcountry Chat of the winter season on Tuesday, December 10th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Wilkinson Public Library Program Room. This event is designed for backcountry enthusiasts of all levels and will provide a refresher on the Telluride radio program, highlight available community resources, and feature a presentation by local CAIC forecaster, Chris Dickson. Food and beverages will be provided.
