The Telluride Historical Museum will reveal the newest Weatherford Gallery annual exhibit tomorrow, Thursday, June 6th, with a FREE public reception. The exhibit "You Are Here: Opportunity, Exploration, and Endurance in the San Juan Mountains" features rare and unique historical maps that tell the story of how the American Southwest came to be navigated, understood, and exploited. Stop on by at the museum soon and don't forget Saturdays are FREE for locals!

Seas of Trees will be presenting a slide show at Patagonia Telluride today, Wednesday, June 5th, at 5pm about their local and global tree planting efforts. Come meet Kiran Karjit, a tree planting partner from Kathmandu, Nepal. There will be a raffle, and an opportunity to buy local native sapling trees to plant in your own backyard.

District Commissioner and candidate Anne Brown invites the community to two Meet & Greet events this week: today, Wednesday, June 5th at the Lawson Hill picnic/playground area from 5:30-7pm; and tomorrow, Thursday, June 6th, at the Placerville Schoolhouse, also 5:30-7pm. Thursday, June 6th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Wilkinson Public Library, join Greg Smith, Montana Humanities Educator and former Bear Management Ranger in Glacier National Park, for “Bears and Wolves of the West,” a discussion of the history of wolves & grizzly bears in the American West, the reality of biological limitations, and the potential for future habitat expansion.
