Today, Tuesday, July 2nd, Pinhead holds a FREE Punk Science talk at the Wilkinson Library at 5:15 p.m. with entomologist Chris Anderson, talking about the jobs bugs do! This Wednesday and Thursday from 1pm to 5 p.m., don’t miss the Pinhead bug booth at Elk Pond in Mountain Village. And if your kids want to march with Pinhead in the Fourth of July parade, meet on Main Street and Townsend at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Pinhead will provide lab coats and Einstein wigs!

The Telluride Historical Museum is hosting a FREE craft night for families tonight, Tuesday July 2nd, at 5:30 p.m. Partnering with the American Academy of Bookbinding, kids and families can learn the lost craft of bookbinding. The final free family craft night is next Tuesday, July 9th, featuring navigational and orienteering knowledge.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 3rd, head to Telluride Arts for the 2nd annual community party and birthday bash! Come to Fat Alley (behind Telluride Arts HQ) between Oak and Fir Streets for an evening filled with live music, a vibrant bar, and plenty of surprises! The party is FREE, and kicks off around 3:30 p.m. All are welcome!

The Wilkinson Public Library holds its annual Pie Contest tomorrow, Wednesday, July 3rd! This delicious competition is open to bakers of all ages. Show off your skills for bragging rights and fun prizes! A panel of esteemed judges will decide the fate of your flaky masterpiece, based on appearance, creativity, and taste. Register in advance at telluridelibrary.org and bring your pie for drop off between 5-6pm tomorrow. Judging begins promptly at 6:01pm. Don't miss this chance to celebrate the perfect summer treat!

Telluride Gold Kings play two shows this week – the first on Wednesday, July 3rd at 6 p.m. at The Alibi, and again on Thursday, July 4th at 6 p.m. at the Sheridan Historic Bar. Both shows are FREE!

Ouray Fire Department is holding its annual Party in the Park fundraiser tomorrow, Wednesday, July 3rd, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. in Fellin Park in Ouray. Music by Donny Morales with D+G Railroad. Food provided by Smokehouse and Riverside Resort. Come out and support the firefighters!

The 14th annual Telluride Foundation Rundola benefitting the Good Neighbor Fund is happening at 8 a.m. on July 4th! The easiest way to register is by going to runreg.com/rundola. Bib and swag pickup and on-site registration will take place in the Oak Street Gondola Plaza on July 3rd from 11am-3pm. On-site registration will also be available on July 4th from 7:00 - 7:50am (if the race does not sell out).

The Telluride 4th of July Parade takes place on Thursday, July 4th at 11 a.m. – rain or shine. Kids entries are especially needed - enter the parade by heading to tridejuly4parade.org! Deadline to register is 5 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, July 3rd. There will be NO CONFETTI and NO WATER BALLOONS allowed, and candy must be handed out.

The Town of Telluride invites you to the 2nd annual Fourth of July Bash in Town Park. Live music from Hill Stompers, Atari Safari, The Optin’ Outlaws, and Chrome Velvet; food and beverages from all your favorite local food carts, and games and activities for all ages. Stick around the park at dusk and after dark for laser and drone shows and FIREWORKS!

Following the 4th of July Parade on Thursday, the Telluride Historical Museum will be serving up $5 root beer floats until supplies last with FREE admission to the museum between 1 and 4 p.m.

The Sheridan Arts Foundation hosts the 21st annual Telluride Plein Air, with a three-day art exhibition and sale held Thursday, July 4th through Saturday, July 6th, displaying the completed works.

Thursday, July 4th, the Town of Mountain Village presents Movies Under the Stars summer outdoor film series! Families & guests can head to Reflection Plaza in Mountain Village, bundle up & enjoy this week’s classic film, The Sandlot. The FREE film screening begins at sundown, around 8:30 p.m.
