Telluride Public Works Department have begun milling and patching on streets throughout town. Intermittent lane and road closures for milling operations will occur today, Monday, August 26th and tomorrow, Tuesday, August 27th. Paving and patching will begin Tuesday, September 3rd, and continue until all milled roads are restored, which is expected by the end of the day on Friday, September 6th. Telluride R-1 School District Board of Education holds a work session today, Monday, August 26th, at 3:30 p.m. in the Bridal Veil room at TMHS and via Zoom. The regular monthly board meeting will be tomorrow, Tuesday, August 27th, at 5:15 p.m. also in the Bridal Veil room and via Zoom. Meeting agendas and Zoom links can be found at tellurideschool.org.

Wilkinson Public Library’s Listening Club BBQ is today, Monday, August 26th at 5:30 p.m. on the library terrace. The Wright Opera House in Ouray will host a film screening of Arthur the King (Rated PG-13) on Wednesday, August 28th, at 7 p.m. Box office opens at 6:30 p.m.

Telluride Gold Kings play this Wednesday, August 28th, from 7-9 p.m. at The Alibi. Also catch the Gold Kings on Thursday, August 29th, from 6-8 p.m. at the historic Sheridan Bar.

Tri-County Health Network and Raices Sin Fronteras (Roots Without Borders) are holding a series of workshops and exhibits in Telluride on Saturday, August 31st, aimed at promoting help for the area's immigrant community. It's called Encuentro 2024 and it kicks off at the Wilkinson Public Library at 9:30 in the morning, and features an afternoon march for workers' rights starting from Town Park.

Saturday, August 31st, the Wright Opera House in Ouray presents live music from Mixed Bag Jazz. Doors at 6:30 p.m.; show at 7 p.m.
