The San Miguel Educational Fund Board of Directors (that’s KOTO’s governing board) holds a regular meeting today, Monday, September 23rd, at 5:15 p.m. via Zoom. The public is invited to attend. The meeting agenda can be found at koto.org.

Wilkinson Public Library is collecting gently used kids costumes this week - Monday, September 23rd through the 30th - for their Kids Costume Exchange event! The Costume Exchange takes place on Tuesday, October 1st from 4-6 p.m. at the Library.

Norwood Park & Rec District & Wide Sky Arts Collective have launched N3 Music & Theater Club, an after-school program for 7th to 12th graders from Norwood, Nucla, & Naturita, with theater field trips October thru March. Fall Session starts tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24th. Location will alternate between The Livery in Norwood and Nucla High School. Pinhead Institute hosts the Pintern Presentations FREE and open to the community, tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24th, at the historic Sheridan Opera House! Reception at 5 p.m.; presentations start at 6 p.m. Free food, drinks and popcorn during the show.

Wednesday, September 25th, head to Wilkinson Public Library at 5 p.m. for the latest Community Conversation, The Power of Stories, for Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. This is a workshop on the stories we tell ourselves and their impact on our mental health. English/Spanish interpretation, childcare, and food provided. More info at telluridelibrary.org.

Join the Telluride Museum at the Madeline Hotel and Residences on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for FREE weekly talks by scholars, writers, storytellers, and experts of our region's history. This Wednesday, September 25th, enjoy a presentation from Ernest House Jr., Executive Secretary for the Colorado Commission of Indian Affairs, longtime tribal leader for the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, and great-grandson of Chief Jack House, the last hereditary chief of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe.

Telluride Gold Kings play two FREE shows this week. They’ll be at The Alibi on Wednesday, September 25th, from 7-9 p.m., and at the historic Sheridan Bar on Thursday, September 26th, from 6-8 p.m. Support local musicians!

Thursday, September 26th, join EcoAction Partners, Sheep Mountain Alliance and Wilkinson Public Library at 8:30 a.m. at WPL for Coffee and Climate Conversation. This month, the topic will be food systems - discuss what it looks like to fight for food justice in our region, how to reduce your impact, improve systems, and more. Coffee and tea kindly provided!

This Fall the Med Center is again encouraging the community to schedule their annual prevention visits before the year ends.
