San Miguel County's free Holiday Tree Recycling lot, located at the Church Camp parking lot at the intersection of Ilium Road and Sunshine Mesa Road, will be open through January 15th. Please remove all lights and ornaments before disposing. No other disposal is permitted at this site.

Telluride Nordic Association hosts their Lunchtime Learn to Ski clinics beginning today, Monday, January 6th. Meet at the Nordic Center in Town Park at 12 (noon) and learn new skills or try Nordic skiing for the first time! More info at telluridenordic.com/clinics.

Mountainfilm for Locals is a FREE film screening featuring a mashup of favorites from this year’s Mountainfilm festival. Join the group on Wednesday, January 8th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Wilkinson Public Library.

Thursday, January 9th, Patagonia Telluride will host a FREE film screening from 5-7 p.m. The film Jirishanca, follows climbers as they attempt to summit Jirishanca in Peru, and are forced to account for risk as never before. Plus 2 more sneak peek snow films. Nonprofit High Country conservation advocates will be there tabling and taking donations for a Patagonia product giveaway!
