The Town of Mountain Village holds its annual Clean-Up Day tomorrow, Saturday, August 17th, in the Meadows neighborhood. Volunteers are asked to arrive between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. to register, pick up trash bags and receive designated areas of where to clean up trash. The clean-up itself will take place from 10 a.m. to noon. After the clean-up, hang out in the Meadows between noon and 2 p.m. with a raffle and prizes!
Saturday, August 17th, the Ouray County Performing Arts Guild presents the 41st Annual San Juan Chamber MusicFest Festival Concert at the Wright Opera House in Ouray. Max Levinson and the Ulysses Quartet will present a marvelous evening of chamber music featuring masters of the 20th century – Debussy’s “Estampes” (suite for solo piano), the monumental "Piano Quintet" of Shostakovich, and string quartets by Janacek and Tailleferre. A reception in the Tavern at the Wright will follow the concert. Music starts at 7:30 p.m.
