Tri-County Health Network and Raices Sin Fronteras (Roots Without Borders) are holding a series of workshops and exhibits in Telluride tomorrow, Saturday, August 31st, aimed at promoting help for the area's immigrant community. It's called Encuentro 2024 and it kicks off at the Wilkinson Public Library at 9:30 in the morning, and features an afternoon march for workers' rights starting from Town Park.

Celebrate the music of the Grateful Dead with Easy Jim! Southwest Colorado’s favorite Deadhead Tribute band is at the Alibi tomorrow, Saturday, August 31st. Show at 9 p.m.; tickets available at the door and at alibitelluride.com.

Tea & Tarot with Jade Rose takes place Sunday, September 1st, and every Sunday at Wilkinson Public Library. The sessions are from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Space is very limited, and registration is required. Sign up at telluridelibrary.org.

Wilkinson Public Library will be closed Monday, September 2nd, in observance of Labor Day!

Telluride Public Works Department has begun milling and patching on streets throughout town. Paving and patching will begin Tuesday, September 3rd, and continue until all milled roads are restored, which is expected by the end of the day on Friday, September 6th. Tuesday, September 3rd is Library Game Night at The Alibi! Bardic Trails Online Poetry series continues on Tuesday, September 3rd, at 7 p.m. with “Poems from the Rez” featuring Michael Thompson, a Mvskoke (“Muscogee”) Creek poet, writer and retired educator living on the Navajo Nation with wife and Diné poet Tina Deschenie. Join Telluride Theatre and the team behind When Dishwashers Were Kings for a special edition of The Downlow on Wednesday, September 4th at The Alibi!  The theme for the evening is "Nothing to See Here" and will feature a range of local (and formerly-local) storytellers. The event is free, and open to everyone ages 21 and up.  Doors will open at 6:30 and the show will start at 7 - be sure to show up early to grab a seat!  You don't want to miss it.
