Join the Telluride Mountain Club and PI Avy Fund for an informative Backcountry Chat tomorrow, Thursday, January 16th, from 6–8 p.m. at the Wilkinson Public Library. This FREE event begins with a brief "state of the snowpack" update, followed by a hands-on tour planning workshop led by Friends of the San Juans. San Miguel County Search and Rescue will also provide essential tips on preparedness for backcountry adventures and explain what to expect during emergency assistance situations.
